About the Market

The Tumwater Town Center Farmers Market’s opening day for the 2024 season is June 9 and runs through September 22.  Held every second and fourth Sunday each month, 11am to 3pm, at Peter G. Schmidt Elementary School on the corner of Capital and Dennis, the Tumwater Market is small enough to be familiar and established enough to offer a great variety.

The Tumwater Farmers Market hosts several vegetable growers, offering fresh spinach and chard, luscious lettuce, radishes and carrots, scallions and broccoli. Berries can be found at market in June, where you can find delight in baskets of shining red strawberries and plump cherries. The fresh food vendors participate in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program and are ready to receive your senior FMNP checks for healthful fresh food.

With live music weekly, the Tumwater Farmers Market is a great mid-day outing. There are local bakers with treats, coffee, handcrafted soaps and creams, a full spectrum of sweet and savory sauces, local pork and beef. You can also grab lunch, with several food vendors offering fresh made meals guaranteed to bring you back for more.

Raffle

We will hold a raffle weekly. You do not have to be present to win. Prizes can include market t-shirts, vendor gift certificates, market totes, and more.

Our Mission

The purposes of the Tumwater Town Center Farmers Market (TTCFM) are to promote local agriculture, improve the nutritional well being of consumers, and increase the social health of the local community.  The TTCFM is conducted in accordance with the Washington State Farmers Market Association (WSFMA) Roots Guidelines.  Farmers, processors of Washington grown products, and local artisans will find a supportive outlet for the sale of their goods.  Additionally, the Market strives to educate the public about the benefits of preserving local agriculture and making healthy food choices.
